Breast Cancer Awareness Month, also referred to in the United States as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, is an annual international health campaign organized by major breast cancer charities every October to increase awareness of the disease and to raise funds for research into its cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure.
Annual screenings and early detection are very important to women and should begin around the age of 35. Possibly even earlier if there's family history. There is also a small percentage of men who may also need a mammogram.
This month of October, we need to rise to the challenge together of supporting men & women by helping them get access to screenings, the education of early detection and the support they need.
provides early detection screenings, including mammograms, breast health education, and supportive services.
