For my mom's spaghetti, she normally added browned ground beef rather than meatballs BUT boy did she make a mean Porcupine Meatball. This meatball recipe is inspired by her Porcupine Meatball recipe -- with added seasonings as well as without the rice.


11 oz Ground Pork

14 oz Lean Ground Beef

1 tsp Oregano

1 tsp Garlic Powder

1 tsp Onion Powder

1 tsp Paprika

1 tsp Sea Salt

Cracked Pepper

1/2 c Pork Panko

1 egg (medium)

2 Tbsp Olive Oil


Mix together ground pork and ground beef. Add all the seasonings. Add pork panko and egg. Mix together thoroughly till combined. Roll into 2 oz meatballs.

In skillet, add olive oil. Brown meatballs on all sides until done. Approx. 10 minutes.

Makes 14 -- 7 servings -- 2 per serving
